Verandas

Verandas are only required for barn buildings, and producers have until 1 May 2030 to meet this requirement.

Free-range buildings are not required to install nor retrofit verandas under the new laying hen welfare standards, however, the RSPCA will continue to research practical ways to implement this in the future.
